Corgi 1/76 Duple Mestec CityBus Cityflyer Airport 44502
CityBus is one of the three major bus operators in Hong Kong, it provides both franchised and non-franchised bus services. The franchised route network serves mainly Hong Kong Island, cross-harbour routes (between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon/New Territories), Ocean Park, North Lantau (Tung Chung and Hong Kong Disneyland) and Hong Kong International Airport. The non-franchised routes serve mainly City One Shatin.
When the new Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok opened on 6th July 1998, Citybus introduced a network or routes using the CityFlyer name, to connect the new airport with Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.

Corgi 1/76 AEC Regent V/Roe, Hartlepool Corporation, Destination B OM41416B
The Hartlepool Corporation began serving the two boroughs of Hartlepool and West Hartlepool in 1952. The Corporation’s licence required them to provide half the buses needed to operate the service between the two towns. This presented a problem, since the Corporation did not own any buses! An agreement was reached with Bee Line Roadways, a local coach operator which ran the service on the Corporation’s behalf and garaged their fleet from August 1953. By 1956 this fleet was ageing and was replaced by four AEC Regent Vs as seen here. The Hartlepool Corporation’s fourteen year existence was brought to an end in 1967 when the bus fleets of the two boroughs were merged.

Corgi 1/76 Crossley DD42, Ashton Corporation, Glossop OM41610A
By 1938, the tram era in Ashton-under-Lyne was over. After the Second World War, the Ashton Corporation took its first delivery of six Crossley DD42/3s which replaced earlier Crossley vehicles purchased in the mid-1930s. In November 1954, the familiar peacock blue and cream livery was introduced. Over the following years, bus routes came and went and in January 1967 the last new bus route to be opened by Ashton Corporation was to the new housing estate at Gambrel Bank. Two years later in November 1969 the South East Lancashire and North East Cheshire Passenger Transport Executive was formed. This swallowed up the Ashton Corporation, and the peacock blue and cream buses gradually disappeared, bringing to an end a total of 67 years of Ashton Corporation Transport.

Leyland PD3 'Queen Mary' Open Top, Southdown Motor Services, 197 Eastbourne via & Birling Gap
Nearly sixty years ago, the first of what eventually turned out to be around three hundred very different buses took to the road. Seating sixty-nine on thirty feet of bus, the ‘Queen Mary’s’ were large machines, considerably larger than anything Sussex had seen before – contrasting the familiar red and cream buses of Brighton Corporation Transport and Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company. The last of these green and cream machines entered service in 1967 and were worthy successors to Southdown’s existing double deckers.
