Bachmann 7mm Narrow Gauge

The Quarry Hunslet is the first 7mm Narrow Gauge locomotive to be produced by Bachmann Europe. Marketed under the company’s award-winning Bachmann Narrow Gauge brand as NG7 Scale, these new models are produced at a scale of 1:43.5, the same as O Scale Standard Gauge and O-16.5 Narrow Gauge. From the outset models of both open- and enclosed-cab locomotives will be produced, with numerous detail differences to accurately depict the locomotives built for the Dinorwic, Penrhyn and Pen-Yr-Orsedd Qaurries. Incorporating the highest levels of detail to produce models of supreme fidelity, each version will be brought to life with an exquisite livery application using the latest paint application techniques for the most authentic of finishes.

We are proud to present the iconic Quarry Hunslet as the launch locomotive for the new Bachmann Narrow Gauge NG7 Scale range. Depicting ‘Alice’, the locomotive built for the Dinorwic Quarry and after which the ‘Alice Class’ was named, this new model builds on the success of its smaller, award-winning Bachmann Narrow Gauge OO9 scale cousin. The larger NG7 scale affords a higher level of detail, along with an enhanced technical specification which includes a Next18 DCC decoder socket, pre-fitted speaker and firebox lighting system – which comes into full effect when the hinged firebox door is posed in the open position.
