Jeanne d’Arc served as a versatile training and helicopter carrier in the French navy. Launched as La Résolue in 1961 and renamed Jeanne d’Arc when commissioned in 1964. Originally designed as an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) vessel, it featured a large flight deck and hangar capable of supporting multiple helicopters, including the Alouette III and Super Frelon. Equipped with a 100mm gun and anti-aircraft defences, Jeanne d’Arc combined ASW capabilities with its primary role as a training ship for French naval officers. It operated worldwide until decommissioning in 2010.
