Solent Models SOM 25c Clausentum or Canute, Southampton tugs 1958-65 1/1250
Canute and Clausentum were a pair of steam-powered harbour tugs for Southampton Ocean Terminal and they were in service from 1926 to 1966. This model is of either one of the pair in the final livery with red funnel and cream upperworks from 1958 to 1966 and a single mast, made by Solent Models SOM 25c.
The regulations with regard to the display of lights on towing vessels was changed in the late 1950s and tugs were able to dispense with the second mast.
