Haparangi was built by John Brown & Co Ltd in 1947. Sister-ships were Hurunui & Hauraki. In 1965, the ships transferred to Federal Line and in 1971 became P&O ships. Haparangi was scrapped in 1974. For a model in Federal Line colours, see Hertford.
