The kit is basically a standard GWR 6-wheel Milk Tanker with the 3000 gallon tank removed and a new deck fitted, as per the prototype which lasted until about 1967, and was used to convey road-based milk tanks. The LMS had a similar version. The railway company owned the chassis, the dairy company owned the road tank. Both United Dairies and Express Dairies had these road tanks and possibly some other dairies as well. We had a 3D printed model on display at Kempton Park but I hasten to point out that the kit will not be 3D resin printed. The road tank will be cast urethane resin, all the fittings will be lost wax cast brass and the road deck will be injection moulded plastic.
