Secondhand Mini-ships 1/1250 Iskra T-2 USS Wasp, LHD 1, helicopter landing ship, 1991
USS Wasp is a second-hand, 1/1250 scale, waterline model by Iskra, catalogue number T-2. The model is cast in an unusal resin which has a metal content and has been polished to a silvery finish around the name plate cast underneath the hull. The lifts and the dock door are separate castings and the dock door can be posed open or shut. This model is in very good condition, see photograph.
There are no small landing craft or helicopters supplied with this model but i understand that the ship was equipped with air-cushion craft when new but now hast 4 LST's . At the time of writing this USS Wasp was still in service.
