A 1/1250 scale metal model of Loire Lloyd, a freighter fitted with a Stulken heavy lift derrick to be able to handle containers and traditional cargos. The model is fully finished and painted with the cranes and derricks rigged but at rest.
Overall length of model 13.5cm
Freighters of the period of this model were fitted to be able to handle traditional cargos and the newly introduced containers anywhere in the world. By the 21st centurymajor ports could all handle containers and ships like this were withdrawn and scrapped in large numbers.
