Rapido Trains OO 903013 Hunslet 2705 Beatrice 16in 0-6-0ST Saddle Tank Lined Green Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway
A detailed model of the Hunslet 16in size 0-6-0 saddle tank engines built for many collieries and quarry companies with 44 locomotives built from 1923 until 1958. Many of these engines were supplied after WW2, so were still in use as the preservation societies started up, resulting in many being purchased in working order for a new life hauling passengers.
This model is finished as Hunslet works number 2705 Beatrice in lined green livery, as preserved at the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway. This engine was built in 1945 for Ackton Hall Colliery and named after the colliery managers' daughter. Purchased for service at Embsay in 1976 Beatrice has worked on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey line for longer than for her previous owners.
