Peco 'crazy track' has a flexible sleeper base finished in a broken or rough-hewn style, replicating the use of local timber for temporary and industrial narrow gauge railways. The rough sleepers can also help depict the poor state of track found on many minor railways as road competition took profitable traffic, leaving little cash for the repairs budget.

We recommend drilling through sleepers with a 0.5 or 0.7mm drill. When using plywood or chipboard continuing drilling into the board to get the pin started. The pin can normally be driven home with pliers or a small hammer.
