Parkside Kits OO PA16 LMS/BR 10ft Wheelbase Chassis Underframe Vacuum Fitted Clasp Brake (Kit)

This chassis kit is based on the late LMS 10 ft wheelbase chassis design and includes two sets of solebars allowing the kit to be built with either LMS J hanger suspension, or the usual simpler wagon suspension system. This choice provides a useful kit for altering kits to represent wagons built on alternative chassis.
The J hanger suspension was often used on wagons for perishable traffics which were expected to travel at higher passenger train speeds, so the kit includes vacuum brake fittings and 8-shoe clasp type brakes.
Scale frame length 17ft 6in used for LMS and British Railways general merchandise open wagons and covered box vans. Wheels and bearings required to complete.
