The Volvo F1 Emergency One Pump Ladder is registered PO68 WCK as used by the Greater Manchester F & R Service. It is decorated in the familiar bright yellow and red, with silver masking and carries an impressive run of ladders which stretch right along the roof as far as the roof light on the cabin, coloured silver. Other exterior trim is finished in either black or silver and topped with a blue roof bar above the cab windscreen. The crew cabin interior is all black, built to carry a 6-person crew in the extended cab. The highly detailed Greater Manchester F&R crest features on the cab doors with the full name of the Service printed along the roof line of the vehicle on both sides.

Transmission is fully automatic with integral hydraulic retarder, an electronic braking system, ABS, Anti slip regulation (ASR), stability control, 5.8 tonne capacity front axle with a full air suspension 19.8 tonne drive axle with locking differential (diff lock). In real life too, a final safety feature to combat attack is anti-bandit glass to the windows.
