Navis Neptun 645N Aurora, a Russian Protected Cruiser from 1902 1/1250
NEW for 2009! The ship that started the October Revolution in 1917 and is preserved at St Petersburg, was one of three sisters of the Pallada class. Pallada herself was sunk in the Russo-Japanese war but was salvaged and served as IJN Tsugaru. Diana saw action with Goeben & Breslau in WW1.
Aurora was re-fitted after the Russo-Japanese war and is modelled here in 1914 guise, appearing much as she does today. By 1914, the sisterships had been re-armed and differed from each other.
