From the time of the Tsars to WW2. The Russians have long fielded several fleets to cover the Atlantic, Pacific and Black sea. They suffered a few nasty naval surprises in the early 20th century at the hands of better disciplined Japanese naval forces, followed by revolution, but rebuilt through the 1930s and into WW2.

Borodino is a Russian battleship completed in 1904 and sent to the far east to fight Japan in 1905. She blew up and sank at the Battle of Tsushima.
This second-hand model is in excellent condition, see photograph. This waterline, 1/1250 scale model was made in metal and is fully painted and finished by Navis, 612AN.

When she was building, the Royal Navy thought she might outclass their latest cruisers and so in turn they built bigger and faster ships (the Good Hope class).
This is a second-hand, waterline, 1/1250 scale, metal model in mint condition but it has black plastic topmasts instead of the white-painted metal masts of today's model. The hull casting is identical.
