Empire MacCallum was also in this class. There were no lifts hangers or catapults and the aircraft (usually Fairy Swordfish) were stored on deck. Each ship could still carry a full load of grain - two ships for the price of one! After the war, they were converted to conventional merchantmen and scrapped in the 1960s.
