Navis Neptun 1105A HMS Barham, the British Battleship in 1941 1/1250
A 1/1250 scale metal model of HMS Barham in 1941 by Navis Neptun 1105A. This model is fully finished and painted in overall light grey, see photograph.
HMS Barham's explosive sinking is shown endlessly in TV programmes to depict the end of any Battleship.
To get an impression of her in her WW1 heyday as flagship of the 5th Battle Squadron at Jutland, see Warspite (Navis 101N)
Barham would have been modified to the same standard as the other Queen Elizabeth class ships at the start of WW2 but there was a shortage of dockyard capacity and so she was tail end Charlie in the battlefleet when the U-boat struck and the camera man on Valiant had a grandstand view.
