The Sandown class minesweeper is dedicated to a single mine hunting role, with propulsion by vectored thrust and bow thrusters. Maximum speed is 13 knots while the displacement of 450 tons results from an overall size of 53m x 10m x 2m draft. A single 30mm gun comprises the armament!
