John's Model Shipyard RN311 Kit of a Dido-class light cruiser to make a model with a 4in gun in X- position 1/1200
This kit makes a 1/1200 scale waterline model of a British Dido-class light cruiser with 8x5.25in guns in twin turrets and a 4in gun in X-position. The kit is designed, 3D-printed, external supports removed and packed by John's Model Shipyard, RN311. Glue, fine roding for topmasts and yards and paint are needed to complete the model.
The 4in gun was used to fire starshell. HMS Bonaventure completed in this form and was sunk in 1941 with her original armament. The large picture shows Bonaventure in the camouflage pattern that she was wearing in early 1941.
