John's Model Shipyard RN310 A kit to make a Dido-class light cruiser with 10x5.25in guns 1/1200
A kit to make a Dido-class, British light cruiser model with 10x5.25in dual-purpose guns in twin turrets in 1/1200 scale . This waterline kit is made by Joh's Model Shipyard RN301 and John designs, 3D prints, removes external supports and packs the models himself. Glue, rod for topmasts and paint are needed to complete the model.
This Dido-class model is crrect for the ships as designed. Not all the class were completed as planned because of a shortage of 5.25inguns and turrets. This model is suitable for HMS Naiad which was finished with the designed armament and in 1940 was painted in a green and brown scheme carried by ships based in Scapa Flow in 1940. This scheme was known as the "Flotta Scheme".
