Heljan OO 1412 BR D9505 Class 14 Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive BR Green

Detailed model of British Railways western region 0-6-0 diesel hydraulic locomotive D9505 finished in BR two-tone green livery with wasp-striped ends.
These 650bhp diesel-hydraulic locomotives were designed to replace the legendary GWR pannier tanks fleet for shunting and local/branch goods services. However by the time construction commenced much of the wagonload goods traffic had been lost to road haulage. Most of the class were sold for further use by National Coal Board, steel industry companies, British Steel and some being sold abroad.
19 of the class have been preserved, heritage railways services being just the sort of work these locomotives had been designed for!
