The BR engineers' Grampus is a new model for 2008, produced for the first time as a ready-to-run model. This version is one of four numbered models painted in the engineers grey and yellow Dutch style livery.
Engineering wagons have long been neglected, the Grampus was one of the BR engineers principal open wagons. Everything that needed to be moved to a remote worksite could be loaded into Grampus wagons. Full drop sides allowed ballast and spoil to be unloaded easily, while the removable ends allowed long loads to be accomodated.
