Dapol O Gauge 7F-073-008W HP Sauce 7 Plank Open Coal Wagon RCH No.1 1887 3 Door Type Weathered
Detailed model of a 7 plank open mineral wagon built the the 1887 issued RCH specifications and finished as H P Sauce Works wagon number 1 in red oxide livery with weathered finish.
Many manufacturers ordered a small fleet of wagons to ensure a regular supply of coal was available for their factories, with coal stored in the company wagons avoiding the demurage charges incurred if colliery or coal factors' wagons were not unloaded promptly. The HP (for Houses of Parliament) brand was purchased by the Midland Vinegar Company of Aston Cross, Birmingham in 1899.
