Dapol N 2F-041-006 BR Dogfish Ballast Hopper Wagon DB992929 Grey/Yellow Dutch Livery
The Dogfish was one of the most common types of self-discharging ballast hopper wagon built by British Railways, offering the ability to control and distribute ballast through 3 outlets, delivering between the rails and/or to either side. These wagons were in service with the BR PW engineers into the 1980s and many heritage railways have purchased them.
Dapol have succeeded in recreating the detailed design features of the wagon with fine handrails, hopper control wheels, shafts and even gearboxes represented. The hopper interior is clear and includes the bottom stiffening ribs, while weight is added between the hopper side chutes. Finely printed and legible data panels complete this superb model.
