Coastlines 1/1250 CL-BS02S HMS Lion proposed battleship in 1942 with painted decks

A 1/1250 scale resin model of HMS Lion as she might have been if completed in 1942 with wood coloured decks by Coastlines Models CL-BS02S.

Two Lion-class battle ships were ordered in 1939 for completion in 1942 based on the King George V class but with 9x16" guns instead of 10x14". These ships were cancelled in 1940 owing to a pressing need for escort vessels. This model represents HMS Lion if she had been completed in 1942.
