Coastlines 1/1250 CL-D06 PD-50, floating drydock, 1980s onwards
PD-50, the largest floating drydock in the world, belongs to the Russian Navy but was built in Sweden. Designed to dock the Kiev-class carriers, it is big enough to lift Kusnetsov out of the water for graving and maintenance. The model is fitted with warning sign decals and includes removeable blocks and 2x100t cranes. The full-hull submarine models are not included with this model but Mountford make similar submarines and these can be purchased from Antics.
This drydock is also used for all classes of Russian nuclear submarines and Mountford has provided full hull, 1/1250 submarines. Rhenania Junior Sorum class tugs could tow this monster or assist ships into the dock.
