Billings 1/30 B726 Andrea Gail Perfect Storm

This 1/30 scale kit is expected to be re-introduced in 2015. Pricing will be advised when the production date is available. As a guide only, when last available this kit was priced at 250, so the new release can be expected to be more than this.

The Andrea Gail, an un-inspected commercial fishing vessel departed Gloucester Harbour, Massachusetts, September 20, 1991 with six crewmembers on board. The crew intended to make a fishing trip for swordfish in the area of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, Canada. The vessel and six crewmembers remain missing and are presumed lost at sea in a major storm, referred to as the 'Perfect Storm' by a meteorologist and made famous by Sebastian Junger’s book, later adapted into the Hollywood movie.

Kit includes laser cut wooden hull and wooden strips, rudder, fittings set, rigging thread, plan and manual.
