Bachmann OO 38-128 BR Railfreight VBA 35-ton Sliding Door Van Gey & Red

Detailed model of the BR VBA long wheelbase air braked covered box van with twin half-length sliding doors to give access to the entire length of the interior for loading by fork-lift trucks. This model carries the Railfreight grey and red livery introduced in the 1980s.
These long wheelbase air braked wagons were designed with greatly modernised suspension systems able to travel safely at speeds of 60mph. Higher train speeds and a network of dedicated fast freight services greatly improved BRs competitive position for wagonload freight.
