Bachmann OO 33-878A LMS 45Ton Bogie Well Wagon LMS Grey
Bogie well wagons were used to carry heavy or unusually tall loads. The lower floor allowed greater clearance under bridges etc. than with flat wagons. Loads were supported on the side girders using timber baulks across the wagon or over the bogies using a suitable frame to hold the load in position. All kinds of interesting loads could be carried, from boilers and large machinery parts to maritime navigation buoys and small yachts.
