7808 – ‘Cookham Manor '

Completed in March 1938 7808 was sent to London Old Oak Common shed and appears to have moved on to Oswestry in 1946.
Under British Railways ownership 7808 worked from Gloucester Horton Road, Newton Abbot, Birmingham Tyseley and Reading sheds, being withdrawn from service at Gloucester Horton Road in December 1965.
7808 was sold to a private buyer and moved to the Dowty site at Ashchurch in 1966, being returned to steam in 1970 and joining the Great Western Society collection at Didcot shed.

  • Kinetic NEM coupler mounts on tender at correct height with mini-tension-lock couplers
  • DCC decoder socket in tender (tender roof accessible by lift out section secured by magnets)
  • Choice of lift out sections: empty or simulated ‘coal’ load
