Bremen was one of four Barbarossa class liners built in Germany for the transatlantic trade (see USS Pocahontas, ex-Prinzess Irene also available from Antics). In 1900 in Hoboken, Bremen caught fire from the spontaneous combustion of a bale of cotton and was badly damaged along with two other nearby ships. She was re-built and lengthened and used on other routes later in her career. She was re-named Constantinople in the mid 1920s and scrapped in 1929.
