British to WW2
Royal Navy 1920-1945. Last of the battleships, rise of the carriers. Royal Navy treaty-limited ships from the 1920s and 30s through to war-winning convoy escorts, destroyers and support group sloops.
A 1/1250 scalemetal model of HMS Indefatigable by Navis Neptun 1111. The model isfully finished and painted.
Compared to the Illustrious class carriers, the attempt to work in more deck armour and to increase the avgas storage resulted in an inability to accommodate jets and large modern aircraft in the hangars. After WW2, Indefatigable and Implacable spent most of their time in reserve and they were scrapped early as a result.
