Realistic looking and ready-to-place. Styrene Wood Planks are notched to fit over rail spikes. Includes shims to correspond to proper code - cut as needed. Two crossings in each package.
Before the advent of modern, well-built tarmac road surfaces the railway companies made extensive use of wood timbers for level crossing decking as the timbers could easily be removed to maintain the tracks below. Many level crossings on minor roads and farm crossings still have timber baulks to retain the infill between the tracks.
