Hornby OO HES2001 Andrew Barclay Industrial 0-6-0T Steam Loco Molly Lined Black Livery
Model of an Andrew Barclay 0-6-0 side tank industrial shunting engine finished in blackberry black livery with red and pale blue lining.
These engines with the front of the tanks sloped downwards to give better visibility for the driver, were popular at collieries where trains had to be moved along a private mineral railway to reach the connection with the national network. Preserved examples are equally capable when called on to haul short passenger trains on heritage railways.
This model if produced by Hornby as part of the Electrotren range. This model is being produced as a UK Exclusive and we would expect British tension lock hook couplers to be supplied in place of the standard hoop coupler shown in the artwork. These models have NEM coupler pockets allowing couplers to be changed easily.
