Dapol N 2D-004-009 Colas Rail Freight 56105 Doncaster Build Class 56 Co-Co Diesel Locomotive

A highly detailed model of the BR class 56 heavy freight diesel locomotives introduced from 1976.

These locomotives were built in several batches, the first group coming from Electroputere in Rumania, with subsequent builds delivered from BRs own works at Doncaster and Crewe. Each batch had quite obvious detail differences, allowing the builders to be recognised quite easily.
Dapols tooling design for these models allows for many of these obvious detail changes to be replicated with finely etched grilles and separately fitted handrails.
 
56105 is painted in the current Colas Rail livery yellow and orange livery.
