This Slaters kit builds a model of a 6 wheel slat-sided milk van to either diagram O5 or O6. The diagram O5 vans were slightly taller than the previous diagram, making the lifting of churns easier, while diagram O6 vans featured end as well as side doors, allowing the loading of road vehicles and theatrical scenery. It is possible that these vans were originally intended for fish traffic, alongside the earlier slat sided vans, and most of these vans were withdrawn through the 1940s, though some were still used by the engineers after nationalisation.
The kit features moulded plastic body sections with etched parts for the chassis and lost-wax cast brass detail parts. Supplied with wheels and sprung buffers.
