Offshore Support

A 1/1250 scale second-hand model of the Friesenland a Lufthansa seaplane tender. This ship was purpose-built to support the Lufthansa transatlantic airmail service in 1937. The plastic masts and crane were missing from this model and have been replaced after reference to contemporary photographs.

A 1/1250 scale resin model of Maersk Helper an OSV in 2002 by Coastlines Models CL-TG03.

Mearsk Helper was in a recent TV episode of "Mighty Ships" deploying an ROV to assist in coupling an old tanker to a wellhead to act as a loading platform in an oilfield off the coast of Brazil. Currently, Maersk Helper is in Danish waters but her sister-ship, Maersk Handler, is in Brazilian waters.
