Embossed plastic sheet is manufactured from styrene sheet, easily bonded to plain sheet and to Platsruct structral sections using liquid solvent (eg Plastic Weld) or polystyrene cement (eg Revell Contacta).The sheets are usually about 0.5mm (20 thou.) thick and are designed to provide a surface finish with relief. These sheets are not rigid and will normally require to be bonded or laminated to another sheet (eg another layer of plain styrene sheet) or support structure (eg rigid wood or plastic supports) for rigidity and structral strength.Slaters and Tasma embossed plasticard sheets are all approximately A4 size. South Eastern Finecast sheets are larger, mostly about A3 size, but the embossed areas can vary. The US manufactured Plastruct sheets are often slightly smaller than A4.Please note that the colours quoted are from the manufacturers' list, sheets can vary in colour between production batches. For example Salters grey sheets are currently being delivered in a pale brown plastic.All sheets are supplied unpainted.
