Converted from the former ThamesLink electric multiple units the class 769 Flex units are equipped with diesel generator sets for use when electric power is not available. Transport for Wales have invested in a small fleet of these units for use on routes where overhead power is available for some of the journey.

These models will feature switchable directional lighting including destination blind lights, a detailed interior with passenger saloon lights, an accurate non-electrical working pantograph and the unit is DCC sound compatible using the Next18 technology.

Working between Bedford/Luton and Brighton/Gatwick via the former Metropolitan 'widened lines' these trains carried the Network SouthEast blue/white.red stripe livery with grey cabs.

Dapol N Gauge 2D-026-001 86401 Mons Meg Class 86 25Kv electric locomotive Servo Caledonian Sleeper Blue

Owned by the AC Locomotives Group 86401 has been found productive employment with the Serco on the Caledonian Sleeper hauling empty stock from the depots to London Euston or Glasgow Central stations. For these duties 86401 carries a version of BR blue livery with small warning panels and the Caledonian Sleeper logos. 86401 was working in Glasgow early this year.
