Model of BR HST train Mk.3 TSOD standard class open coach with disabled persons toilet facility number 42238 finished in the livery of the current LNER, operator of the East Coast mainline. This is coach F in a full HST formation.

After an iconic life of service on the East Coast Main Line, LNER removed its Inter-City 125s from service at the end of 2019. To celebrate LNER announced a farewell rail tour using power cars 43206 and 43312 along with 7 Mk3 coaches. The entire train was repainted in the original blue and yellow livery and the tour lasted for four days.

Shortly following the popular British Rail Class 801 'Azuma' EMU were the nine-car 801/2 sets, with two units (801205 and 801207) entering service on 18 November 2019 onto the London King's Cross - Edinburgh route. As of November 2020, all Class 801 units have now entered service with LNER.
