Cobi Aircraft

The Hawker Hurricane Mk I is one of the most popular British WWII fighters. It did very well in action, facing the German Messerschmitts. The small arms were eight 7.7mm Browning machine guns. The model designed by COBI refers to the colors of the Czechoslovakian pilot and fighter ace Josef František flying in the famous 303 Squadron.

This machine gained fame due to its high combat efficiency and maneuverability. Sopwith Camels allowed Britian to effectively fight for supremacy in the air with German planes. Camel fighters shot down a total of 1,294 enemy machines during the war. In mid-1918, Camel fighters became somewhat obsolete due to insufficient speed and poor performance at higher altitudes, so they were repurposed for attacks on ground targets. They also served as support for infantry and harassed German ground forces.

The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine basic WWII night bomber. After October 1940 it was also used by the Polish aviation in Great Britain. This extremely successful plane was produced from 1937 until the end of the war in 1945. It was created in many different variants which differed in equipment but not in the basic design. Due to their low maneuverability, the Wellingtons flew mainly at night. They were also perfect for coastal patrolling and as submarine hunters. Additionally they were famous for their high resistance to damage sustained in combat.

The Mitsubishi A6M2 was one of the best fighters in the initial period of World War II. The Navy Deck Fighter Model 0 had no official name. The number 0 represents the end of the year 2600 (on the Japanese calendar) in which the aircraft was designed. Hence the popular term "Zero" invented by the British. The aircraft was designed by engineer Jiro Horikoshi in 1940 on the order of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The model was constantly modified during the war.

The Grumman F4F Wildcat was a US Navy deck fighter from the Second World War built at the Grumman plant. When the US entered the war in 1941, the Wildcats were the US Navy's primary deck fighters and were gradually replacing the older aircraft from the base squadrons. Wildcats were the only fighter protection for the US fleet. In the Pacific, the main opponents of the Wildcats were the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M fighters, popularly known as "Zero".

Typhoon was known for its high top speed of over 660 km/h and powerful armament. Four 20mm Hispano-Suiza cannons made it effective in destroying surface targets.

Seven years later, it was put in service that lasted 27 years. It flew mostly on transatlantic routes. From London's Heathrow (British Airways) and the Paris port of Charles de Gaulle (Air France) to JFK Airports in New York and Dulles in Washington. It reached record speeds; the flight lasted half the time as traditional aircraft. Due to the high production costs and expensive operation, only 20 units were produced. Concorde's last flight took place on November 26, 2003.
