A good straight forward 1/146 plastic kit by Revell of the oldest ship in the the US Navy - Constitution' the frigate nicknamed 'Old Ironsides' and also the first ship commissioned by that navy. The ship was/is a very good example of the fast, single gun deck frigates of the period but bigger and with a heavier broadside than most of the British frigates that were to be encountered during the war of 1812. Throughout her entire service life she was never boarded by hostile forces. To this day the Constitution can be visited in the harbour of Boston. As the oldest ship and still commissioned in the US Navy foreigners are required to show a passport before being allowed on board. Don't leave it at home.
