Historical note: Mi-26 helicopter is the heaviest flying helicopter in the world. The Mi-26 was developed in the seventies, and entered service in 1981. It is a unique transport helicopter for the rapid deployment of troops. It was successfully used in the first and second Chechen war. In total, 276 helicopters were produced during mass production. Mi-26 is in service with the air forces of the CIS countries, India, Malaysia, Peru, South Korea and is used for civilian purposes.
