Historical note: MiG-21 bis is a fighter for gaining superiority in the air, supplied by the USSR Air Force and a number of foreign countries. Syrian aviation actively used the MiG-21bis during the hostilities in Lebanon (1979-1983). The largest number of MiG-21 bis received the Indian Air Force. To date, the MiG-21bis continues to be in service with the Air Force of the CIS countries and many other states.
