The S-400 Triumph is a long and medium-range anti-aircraft missile system developed by the Almaz-Antey defense concern and designed to destroy aircraft, drones, strategic cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles at an altitude of up to 27 kilometers. "Triumph" was created on the basis of the existing Russian S-300 systems, but it has significantly better tactical and technical capabilities: in terms of efficiency, coverage area, as well as a variety of goals.
The complex consists of a command post and a radar station (radar) of detection, with which up to 6 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) are connected. Each air defense system contains a multifunctional control radar and up to 12 launchers with missiles of different types. All means of the system are placed on a wheeled chassis with high cross-country ability, and can be transported by rail, as well as by water and air transport.
