Significantly improved aerodynamics of the aircraft. Serial production of the Yak-1B began in September 1942. In total, about 4188 units of this modification were built. The Yak-1 became one of the most common Soviet fighters, which flew a third of all the fighter regiments of the Soviet Air Force.
