Tamiya 1/350 Degaussing Cable Set for 1/350 Warships 12630
With the outbreak of WWII, warships and merchant ships had to deal with the problem of magnetic torpedoes and mines which were attracted to the magnetic field of these ships' hulls. In 1941, the Japanese Imperial Navy implemented the use of degaussing cables for all their warships to prevent further losses by such weapons.
Magnetic mines, which emerged at the same time as the outbreak of the Second World War, are a type of sensitive mines that explode in response to the magnetic field generated on the ship, and pose a great threat to ships navigating the sea. In the Japanese Navy, as a measure to counteract the magnetic field distortion caused by the hull, in 1967, all ships were immediately equipped with a wire ring called "?? ?" (demagnetized wire). This product is an etched part that can reproduce the outside electric circuit. It can be used for a wide range of Japanese naval vessels including the top. We prepare approximately 2m of length corresponding to large ships such as battleship Yamato.
