During WWII, the German Kubelwagen was greatly used at many fronts including North Africa. It was of a simple construction and came powered by a tough air-cooled engine and was greatly trusted by the German soldiers. The Kubelwagen type 82 which was seen at North Africa, featuring balloon type tires which allowed it to perform very well even on the desert sands, is now realized as a plastic assembly model kit. The car's interior and under chassis area including the suspension arms and engine guard are realistically reproduced. A standing soldier figure wearing shorts and a short sleeved shirt included.
Because of its reliability and ease of repair, and since the engine did not require a coolant, the Kubelwagen proved particularly effective in North Africa. In 1942 a continental balloon tyre version went into production, approx 51,000 Kubelwagen Type 82 were produced by the end of the war.
Glue and paints are required to assemble.
