A 1/1250 scale metal model of USS Long Island, CVE 1, by Spidernavy SN 2-04. Lond Island was the first escort carrier built in the USA and differed from subsequent designs by having a flight deck that ended short of the bow and with a long open area under the flight deck forward. This version represents Long Island in 1944. Spidernavy also makes the model representing the ship in 1941 (SN 2-04)
