Secondhand Mini-ships 1/1250 Wiking WM321F Courbet the French battleship around 1939
A 1/1250 scale second-hand model of the french battleship Courbet after her between the war refits by Wiking WM321F. This model is in excellent condition with medium grey paint overall, see photograph. This waterline metal model has plastic main gun turrets and so will be of post WW2 manufacture and should be of particular interest to Wiking collectors.
Courbet was interned in Portsmouth after the fall of France in WW2 and was used as an accommodation and headquarters ship until it was handed to the Free French. Because she was outdated and in poor condition in 1944, she was expended as a breakwater for Mulberry Harbour construction after D-Day.
