Secondhand Mini-ships Hermann HL107 Almirante Cervera light cruiser Spain 1926-38 1/1250
A 1/1250 scale second-hand waterline model of Almirante Cervera, a Spanish light cruiser of around 1938. This model is in very good condition in original medium grey paint, see photograph.
The tree cruisers of this class were designed by Sir Philip Watts in 1915 and based on the British E-class cruisers of that period but with the boilers grouped together and only two funnels. Several other makers have covered the class but most have chosen a different period for their models. This version is a good model of the class from completion in the mid-1920s until major refits in the 1940s. Alrirante Cervera was badly damaged in the Spanish Civil War but all three survived until the second half of the 1960s.
